Failte! Welcome to Spirited Soaps! We are a small soap works based on the Hebridean Island of Islay. Famous the world over for its whisky, this “whisky isle” is also home to miles of empty beaches and spectacular cliffs. At the mercy of the Atlantic surf and isolated from the mainland, alcohol is not the only spirit here. The true spirit of Islay is found in its people. I have tried to capture the essence of this unique island in our hand crafted transparent whisky soaps. Vegetable oils are mixed in small batches using the traditional “cold process” and then cooked with sugar, vegetable glycerin and large dram of Islay Malt to produce beautifully transparent bars. Scented with pure essential oils the resulting soaps provide a luxurious lather and are extremely mild on the skin. |
